Yesterday I made an impromptu trip to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. My love for amusement parks knows no bounds, for not only do I love roller coasters, but they are the breeding grounds for all things that are wrong with this country. We encountered something in Kentucky Kingdom that was so amazingly over the top, you couldn't even fathom. I guess the phrase "only in Kentucky" would apply here, but it was really a thing of beauty.
They have a
roller coaster named Chang. I'll say that again so it can really sink in. They have a roller coaster. Named Chang. How is it that in this day and age with every person in this country being super offended at the word "damn" that a roller coaster named Chang is allowed to exist? Has not one single Asian person (or person with half a brain for that matter) not called up Six Flags corporate and said, "You know, having a roller coaster named Chang is probably not a good idea." I'm trying to figure out what's more offensive, Chang or The John Denver Experience? Toss up, really.
Oh, but that didn't stop me from getting a Chang pressed penny as we exited the ride through the prerequisite gift shop.
